My name is Raya Samet, and I am passionate about connecting young people with media (and yes, that includes books) for engaging and successful life-long learning!
 
I recently completed my Master of Science in Information degree at the University of Michigan School of Information, specializing in K-12 School Library Media. I completed my student teaching in both elementary and secondary media centers in two metro-Detroit school districts.  I am a fully certified classroom teacher (K-12) with a School Library Media endorsement, as well as a History minor.

• I always get excited when sharing stories and books with others.
• I can talk about Graphic Novels for long periods of time.
• I think that bulletin boards can be an art form.
